Storyboards Guide

Storyboards are visual sequences that bring your concepts to life. They transform abstract creative ideas into structured, frame-by-frame narratives.

Overview

A storyboard is a collection of panels (individual frames) arranged in sequence. Each panel represents a moment in time and includes:

  • Visual Description: What happens in the scene.
  • Captions/Dialogue: Text on screen or spoken words.
  • Duration: How long the panel appears.
  • Properties: Camera angles, mood, location, etc.

Generating Storyboards

The most powerful way to create a storyboard is using AI.

  1. Open a Concept.
  2. Click Generate Storyboard.
  3. (Optional) Select a Platform Format (e.g., TikTok 9:16).
  4. AI will generate 4-8 panels with descriptions, timing, and visual cues optimized for the platform.

[!NOTE] Quota Usage: Generating a storyboard counts as 1 generation against your monthly quota.

  • Free Plan: 10 generations/month
  • Pro Plan: 100 generations/month
  • Enterprise: Unlimited

Platform Optimization:

  • TikTok: Fast pacing, 15-60s, strong hooks.
  • YouTube Shorts: Medium pacing, up to 60s, detailed content.
  • Instagram Reels: Aesthetic focus, 15-90s.

Editing Storyboards

Once generated, you can refine your storyboard in the editor.

Basic Actions

  • Reorder: Drag and drop panels to change the sequence.
  • Add Panel: Insert new panels for missing scenes.
  • Delete: Remove unwanted panels.
  • Duplicate: Copy panels for repeated actions.
